On 26 August, our Chief Executive (CE), Andrew Crisp presented at the Constructive Conference in Rotorua.

Wearing two hats, one the CE of Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga and the other, co-chair of the Construction Sector Accord, Andrew presented an overview of how we are thinking of the housing and urban system, and how the construction sector fits into that.

It was also a chance for the sector to understand more about what we are seeking to achieve together, and how it fits into his leadership role for the sector.

Andrew said, “I was pleased to be able to share some of the good work that we’ve been doing at Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga, such as freeing up land for development, building stronger partnerships with the housing sector, and supporting them with more funding streams for more affordable homes and supporting the construction sector to meet demand.”

“One of the fantastic outcomes of the Accord has been the partnership built between industry and government to achieve transformation in the sector. By working together we can continue to enable change and deal with old and emerging challenges. Together we can transform this industry for the better.” Andrew says.
