People who leave prison without a stable home to go to are at high risk of experiencing homelessness and reoffending. Creating positive pathways (CPP) is a trial to help get them into stable housing and reintegrate into the community.

Housing First

Housing First helps get people who have been experiencing homelessness for at least a year back into permanent housing. Once they're in stable housing, it also provides tailored support for as long as necessary to help them stay in their homes and deal with the underlying issues that led to their homelessness.

Transitional housing

Transitional housing provides temporary accommodation for individuals and whānau who don't have anywhere to live and urgently need a place to stay. It also offers tailored support to help these individuals and whānau into longer-term housing.
